Sue Stasiowski

Sue grew up in Massachusetts and spent afternoons after high school working in her father’s upholstering business, surrounding herself with fabric books, and developing a love of fiber.  In her 30s, she started knitting and soon after discovered needle felting. With an instructional book and minimal supplies, Sue created her first small sculpture, a chickadee — and after completing her first project, she was hooked!

For the last ten years, Sue has been part of the vibrant fiber community in and around Camden, Maine. In addition to teaching workshops, two Maine galleries sold over 200 of her needle-felted sculptures to collectors of her work from all over the country and as far away as Australia. Sue moved back to Massachusetts in early 2020 and currently lives in Plymouth.
